Director of General Studies & 3rd/4th Grade General Studies Teacher
Jessica Diric began her teaching career in 2001. She has she has dedicated her time teaching Pre-K up through 8th Grade, in Killeen ISD, Harlandale ISD, and here at TASA. Jessica is a 2001 University of Montana-Western graduate, with her degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. In 2009, she graduated with her Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Her Texas teaching certifications include General Studies Pre K-8th, Special Education K-12, and English as a Second Language (ESL).
Mrs. Diric, TASA’s Director of General Studies, is also a dedicated teacher at the school. She currently teaches multiple subjects in the 3rd and 4th grade classroom, as well as taking the lead on the new Blended Learning Lab in the middle school and working in closely with Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Henderson and Mrs. Schwab. As the Director of General Studies, Mrs. Diric enjoys being an active liaison between the teaching staff, parents, TASA Board, and the community.
Aside from her love of teaching young children, Mrs. Diric is a wife to Andy, and mother of three daughters. This 2019-20 school year, her daughters Elena and Avery are a Senior and Junior, respectively. Both girls attend Claudia Taylor Johnson High School, here in San Antonio. And then there is Amaia, who is loving TASA for the second year in a row! She is a 1st Grader this school year! Jessica spends her spare time with her family, gardening, running outdoors, and traveling across the country, and around the world.
