Welcome to the Torah Academy of San Antonio

The Shmuel Bass Torah Academy of San Antonio (TASA) is the only Jewish private school in San Antonio and all of South Texas serving students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

TASA’s education is led by compassionate and professional teachers and staff that ensure individual excellence. Our curriculum is a healthy balance of vibrant and challenging academics for both Secular and Judaic studies, which we believe are complementary and vital in preparing our students for the challenges that lie ahead in the classroom and in life.

TASA is a school strongly rooted in teaching Jewish values, ethics, and middot, which drive our character development program. When we renamed our school after Shmuel Bass - one of our community’s patriarchs and best role models - we did so to reinforce our dedication to teaching our students the value of being good and honorable people. We want to create an environment that encourages all our students to be their best, reach their highest potential, and equip them with the tools and skills needed to think critically, lead, and succeed in today’s complex world. That is Jewish private education at its core.

TASA’s Open Door Policy.

TASA caters to a diverse set of families with different interests, socioeconomic & cultural backgrounds, and Jewish observance levels. At TASA, we believe in our mission that high-quality Jewish education is a right, not a privilege, that should be afforded to every Jewish student, regardless of socio-economic status. That is why our tuition is among the lowest in the nation and will continue to be. We have never and will never turn away anyone because of finances.

Come Meet with us to Discuss your Child's Future.

TASA is currently accepting enrollment for the 2018 – 2019 school year and invites all families to come visit our school, meet with Head of School Rabbi Dov Nimchinsky, and take a tour during school hours. We promise you will be blown away by the incredible level of learning that takes place.
